Frequently Asked Questions

How do clear aligners work to straighten teeth?

NewSmile Aligners are a series of custom fitted aligners that are worn over your teeth, each set applies gentle pressure to move teeth into a straighter position.

Do wearing clear aligners hurt?

Since each aligner will be gradually moving your teeth into a new position, you'll feel slight discomfort and may feel mild pain. The discomfort usually decreases after the first one or two sets.

How long do you have to wear them for?

You'll need to wear them for 22 hours per day, and for our Night Aligners, you have to wear them for 10 consecutive hours. You should remove your aligners only when eating/drinking anything except for plain water.

Can I use FSA/HSA for my purchase?

Yes, you can! You'll be able to your impression kit, clear aligners and retainers on almost all flexible spending and health savings accounts.

If you have an FSA/HSA debit card, you can use that to make your purchase. If you don't have one, we can provide a receipt for your invisible aligners so you'll get reimbursed.

Are retainers included?

Your teeth continually shift with age due to bone density changes in your jaw, and especially after orthodontic treatment. At the end of treatment your custom fitted retainers will be available for an additional cost of $149 per set, or as low as $99 when you become a member.
