Why was my HSA or FSA card declined?

Your HSA or FSA card works like a regular debit card, so it can be declined for reasons such as:

  • Incorrect card details (number, expiration date, billing zip code, etc.)
  • Insufficient funds in your account

If information is missing or incorrect, Flex will alert you during checkout so you can update it. If you suspect the issue is due to available funds, contact your HSA or FSA provider to confirm your balance.

I don’t have an HSA or FSA debit card. Can I still use my benefits?

Yes! You can still use your HSA/FSA funds even without the physical card.

Here’s how:
